Pittsburgh – Diamond Kinetics (DK) and The Alliance Fastpitch announced today they have entered into a partnership to provide all athletes in the Alliance All-Star Game Powered by Under Armour with a one-of-a-kind experience, powered by DK data and technology. The Alliance Fastpitch is a six (Member) League, nationwide-organization, whose vision is to be the unified voice for youth athletes and coaches. The development of elite players and coaches as well as the continuity between the generation of athletes are both core values that’s already put this organization in a league of its own.
As part of the sponsorship, Alliance All-Star Game participants will each receive a DK SwingTracker Bat Sensor which they will use during the All-Star Game, at batting practice throughout the All-Star event, and beyond to power their offseason training.
“We’re excited to partner with Diamond Kinetics and have them on-site for our inaugural All-Star Game to provide in-game data and insights, while also curating part of an experience we expect these young women will cherish and hopefully never forget,” said Executive Director of the Alliance, Jami Lobpries.
Diamond Kinetics, the market leader in mobile motion technology and information, will also be providing the Alliance Fastpitch with custom leaderboards for metrics like Max Barrel Speed, Max Acceleration, Impact Momentum, and swing count over time, to be published on their website. As these All-Star players continue to use the bat sensors beyond the ASG, they will create data benchmarks for what ELITE amateur softball players’ swings look like in America.
“We’re honored and excited to be selected by Alliance Fastpitch to help make their inaugural All-Star game a special experience for the players,” said Jeff Schuldt, DK Chief Commercial Officer. “We also look forward to helping the Alliance Fastpitch create broad visibility and development resources for all softball athletes and providing data over time to help define what classifies these players’ swings as ‘elite’.”
What Is The Alliance Fastpitch?
The Alliance Fastpitch was officially founded in the Summer of 2020, but the story began as a shared desire for change amongst leaders in youth fastpitch two years prior. The vision for collaboration, enhanced competition, and athlete-centric decision fueled the idea of The Alliance Fastpitch.
Regionalized play was sparked by circumstances of a global pandemic. However, the regional-based league model that’s inclusive of existing events from various associations and empowers the voice of the individual, proved to provide the platform needed to create purposeful play and drive this collaborative mindset. This model started in Texas and soon scaled throughout the country. The Alliance Fastpitch is the bridge that connects everyone nationally. It is a unified network that empowers each individual voice and fuels connectivity.
