Metrics With Monte: Attack Angle (VIDEO)

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Baseball Head Coach Monte Lee explains why he values the SwingTracker Metric Attack Angle. Plus, Coach Lee tells us the numbers he likes to see when measuring this metric, and why those numbers are valuable.

“The average pitch is coming at a -6° angle. So if I can create a +6° Attack Angle in the +5° to +10° range, I’m going to hit the ball consistently hard.”

“If the pitch is in the strike zone from the belt to the knees, you’re making contact in line with your front foot, and you’re hitting the ball hard, you’re going to have a positive Attack Angle.”
