To successfully install SwingTracker for iOS, please follow the steps below.
- Launch “App Store” on your iOS mobile device
- Click on the Search icon and search for SwingTracker
- Click on the application from the search results
- Click on the “Free” button then click on “Install”
- You will need to sign in with your Apple ID password to proceed with the installation
- After the application is finished downloading it will be ready to use

Do you have any videos to help me set everything up?
How many players can I use with my SwingTracker sensor?
As a coach, you can use an infinite amount of players with one sensor. However, each player will need their own profile and Hitting Subscription in order to record and keep data with the sensor.
For instance, a coach who is training with a team of 10 players, will need 10 profiles and 10 Hitting Subscriptions for his 10 players. The coach will be able to use one sensor for all 10 players.
How do I set up profiles for more than one player?
Each Hitting Subscription requires a unique email to store and track individual player and swing data. To set up a profile for more than one player, a unique email address must be provided for each new account.
Does SwingTracker work on Android devices?
No, the SwingTracker app does not currently work with Android devices. Contact us to sign up to get updates on the progress of Diamond Kinetics apps for Android and other Diamond Kinetics announcements.

You will receive a free 14-day free trial that starts upon your first action in any of the apps that are included in a Hitting Subscription (SwingTracker, DK Expert, Axon). How do I make Hitting Subscription payments through iTunes?
You can subscribe and pay for Hitting Subscription through your iTunes account. Payment will be charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase.
No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when a purchase is made.
Why are my SwingTracker and PitchTracker subscriptions not the same?
SwingTracker and PitchTracker are parts of different subscriptions that offer different features.
SwingTracker, DK Expert and Axon sports are all part of the Hitting Subscription. If subscribed to the Hitting Subscription you become a Premium Hitter and gain access to all that the Hitting Subscription has to offer.
PitchTracker is part of the Hitting Subscription. If subscribed to the Pitching Subscription you become a Premium Pitcher and gain access to all that the Pitching Subscription has to offer.

What is a Premium Hitter?
Having a Hitting Subscription and access to all that the Hitting Subscription has to offer makes you a Premium Hitter.

How do I pay for my Premium Hitter account?
Having a Hitting Subscription qualifies you as either a Premium Hitter. You can pay for your Hitting Subscription either online or in the app.
When online and logged into your Premium Hitter account, you can add a credit card to your account.
How do I cancel my Hitting Subscription?
If you signed up for your Hitting Subscription online, you can remove your credit card from the payments menu.
Visit the Apple website for details on how to turn off payments made on your apple device.
When will my order arrive?
Your SwingTracker Sensor should take between 3-5 business days. The tracking link that you receive when your order is shipped will include an estimated arrival time.

Can I return my SwingTracker?

What is SwingTracker?
SwingTracker is a system — consisting of a sensor, corresponding iOS app and an exclusive online community site — to help players and coaches improve baseball and softball swings. Does SwingTracker work for softball?
SwingTracker will work for softball just like baseball, however the database of players used to compare metrics for softball are only players who have designated their play type as Fast-Pitch Softball.
Does it work for left-handed batters?
Yes. SwingTracker works for right-handed, left-handed and switch hitters.
Can I use it in a game?
SwingTracker is designed as a practice and training tool. However it is approved for:
- NCAA softball (in-bat use)
- Perfect Game Events (in-bat and External use)
- Arizona Summer League (External use)
- Gulf-Coast Summer League (External use)
I have more than one player playing baseball. Do I need to buy a separate SwingTracker for each child?
No, you do not need to buy separate SwingTracker devices for each player.
But, we recommend that you set up a unique Hitting Subscription for every player using the device to best use the analysis tools available.
Can I use the same charger to charge my SwingTracker and PitchTracker?
Yes! The same charging pad can be used to charge both your SwingTracker and PitchTracker.
How do I make sure that I don't exceed my data limit on my mobile device?
In the SwingTracker app under “Settings”, you can turn off “Use Cellular Data”.
If you do not turn cellular off, we recommend that you connect to a wifi network in order to reduce data transferred over your data plan. This is especially important if you are uploading a lot of videos.
How do I pair my SwingTracker sensor with my mobile device?
Follow the steps below to properly pair and link your mobile device to your SwingTracker sensor.
- Fully charge your SwingTracker sensor
- Select the Settings icon on your mobile device and then select Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is not enabled, turn it on.
- Select “SwingTracker ”. It may take 15-30 seconds for SwingTracker to appear.
- It will take approximately 15-30 seconds for the SwingTracker sensor to pair with the device. When paired, you will see a “Swing Away” button on the dashboard of the app.
If you have issues pairing your device, confirm that your iOS device operating system is up to date.
Can I link my sensor to multiple devices?
You can only pair your sensor to one device at a time. You can change the pairing of your sensor by following the standard pairing procedures.
I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
Click on “Forgot Password” in the “Sign In” screen and enter the email address used to register your Hitting Subscription. You will receive an email with instructions on resetting your password.
How do I logout of the app or demo?
You can log out of the app in by selecting ‘Settings’ in the menu located at the bottom of the screen.
Once you’ve clicked ‘Settings’ you should see a logout option.
What is Damage Potential?
Damage potential measures the distance and exit velocity the you would have gotten on a swing if you had squared the ball up (hit it in the sweet spot of your bat).
What is BallTracker?
BallTracker uses a camera to measure the launch angle and distance of your hit.
How is Damage Potential different from BallTracker?
Damage potential measures the potential distance and exit velocity that you would have gotten if you had made solid contact on that swing.
BallTracker measures the actual distance and launch angle of your swing.
So while they both measure distance, Damage Potential can be viewed as a “what would have happened” and BallTracker can be viewed as a what did happen.
What are Challenges?
Challenges are a target or goal for you to achieve. These will appear on the homescreen of your app. Challenges can be sent by coaches or other members of a group you may be in.
How do you charge the SwingTracker Sensor?
Your SwingTracker sensor arrives with a charge, but we recommend you charge it fully before taking more than few swings.
Remove the sensor from the sensor mount.
Plug the charging station into a powered USB port.
Place the SwingTracker in the center of the charging station. The sensor light will change from a blinking red to a solid green light when fully charged.
Never force a charge cable into the USB port of your SwingTracker charging station. If the charge contact does not easily fit, confirm that they are properly aligned before attempting to insert again.
ONLY use the USB charging cable provided to charge your SwingTracker sensor. Diamond Kinetics is not responsible for the operation of third-party accessories.
How do you know if the battery is running low?
A battery indicator is listed at the top of the SwingTracker app screen when you are paired with the app collecting swing data. The sensor will blink red and app will alert you when the battery is low.
How long does it take to charge?
If your sensor is fully depleted, it will take about 2.5 to 3 hours to charge. The higher the starting charge, the less time it will take to be completely charged.
How long does a charge last?
On average a full charge will last 7 hours with continuous use. To maximize the charge, we suggest turning off the sensor when not in use.
How do you turn the sensor on/off?
Turning the SwingTracker sensor on :
With the sensor attached, hold the handle and tap the barrel of bat on the ground twice to turn on the sensor. You will see a green light flash rapidly if not paired. The light will flash slowly when paired to an iOS device.
Turning the SwingTracker sensor off:
When your sensor is on and paired, use the top-left menu to select settings. In settings, scroll down to the ‘Sensor On’ menu and tap the sensor icon. You will then see a red light on your SwingTracker sensor to signal the sensor shutting off.
What happens if I forget to turn it off?
The sensor will go into sleep mode and the light will stop blinking if you stop using it for five minutes. It will automatically wake up and the green power light will turn on once the sensor is picked up.
Moreover, the sensor will turn off automatically if the sensor does not move for 15 minutes.
How many swings can the sensor capture before it is full?
There is no limit to the number swings SwingTracker will capture if you are in ‘online mode’ and actively paired with an iOS mobile device or tablet.
What is Disconnect Mode?
Disconnect mode is when your sensor is not connected via bluetooth to a device but still collecting swings. In disconnect mode your sensor can only hold up to 128 swings.
When charging your sensor, you are not able to transfer swings to your device that you have taken while in Disconnected Mode.
To transfer swings from a Disconnected Mode session, remove your sensor from the charger and use the SwingTracker app to begin to transfer swing data.
Is the sensor waterproof?
The SwingTracker sensor is splash-proof, however significant exposure to water may cause damage to your sensor.
- Do not use your sensor in the rain.
- Do not spill any food or liquid on your sensor.
If your sensor gets wet, dry it thoroughly before using or charging. Do not attempt to dry it with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer.
SwingTracker sensors that are damaged as a result of exposure to liquids are not serviceable and are not covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty
What is the proper way to clean the sensor?
You should always clean and dry the sensor if it becomes noticeably moist or dirty.
To clean the sensor: Gently wipe with a soft cloth or towel. Never use solvents to clean the sensor.
DO NOT submerge the sensor in water as it is not waterproof.
To clean the strap: hand wash with mild soap and warm water, rinse, then towel or air dry.
Can I charge the sensor with a wall charger?
Currently, the only supported way to charge the sensor is to use the provided charging station.
How should I store the sensor?
Store the sensor in the provided protective pouch.
Keep the device stored in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
Avoid extreme temperatures.
It is ideal to operate your sensor between 32 and 95 F (0 to 35 C)
Avoid dramatic changes in temperature or humidity when using your Diamond Kinetics sensor, as condensation may form with the sensitive electronic components of your sensor.
Does the sensor strap fit every bat?
We have designed the sensor strap to fit all bats. Some bats may require a little extra effort in order to attach the sensor strap to the knob of the bat.
How do you best attach the strap and the sensor onto the bat?
To attach the strap to the bat, follow the below steps:
- Place the end of your bat on a firm surface with the knob pointing upward.
- Stretch the round hole in the center of the sensor strap over the knob.
- Position the sensor mount on top of the bat knob.
- Hold the sensor mount in place with one hand
How does data move from the sensor to my mobile device?
The sensor will use bluetooth to transfer swing data from the sensor.
How do I know the sensor is collecting data?
Take a swing and make contact to register a good swing. Check the SwingTracker app to confirm that the swing is being captured or if the app did not register a swing.
If your sensor is not collecting data:
- Confirm that your sensor is turned on and glowing green
- Confirm that it is connected to your device by touching the “Swing Now” on your home screen. If you are connected, it will say “Swing Now”. If you are not connected, it will say “Connect Sensor”.
- Update your Load Position for your bat under “Settings” in the app before starting your next batting session.
How would I use Swingtracker for my team?
Swingtracker can add new dimensions to your coaching sessions. With SwingTracker you can provide tangible facts and data to the swing feedback you deliver to players.
Plus, you can access your players’ swing data, compare individuals and make training and drill suggestions and review their progress between sessions.

Can a coach/admin access a player’s swings from another device?
A coach can access a player’s swings from any device that they sign into using the app or the website.
Is an email address required to add a new account?
Yes, you will need a unique email address for each new account.
Can I access a player’s data from my mobile device?
Yes. You can easily add and manage the data of a whole team of hitters and quickly switch between each player during batting practice.
Does Diamond Kinetics share my personal information with third parties?
We take privacy seriously at Diamond Kinetics. We do NOT share any personally identifiable information with third parties without explicit user or parent consent.
What happens if my child registers an account on a Diamond Kinetics app or DiamondKinetics website?
When a user age 12 or under registers with Diamond Kinetics, we seek parental consent to allow them to use any of our services that require collection of personally identifiable information.
Users under the age of 12 who attempt to register with Diamond Kinetics will be asked to provide their first name, first initial of their last name, a screen name, and a parent email address. Diamond Kinetics will then engage with the parent of the user for permission prior to collecting any additional personal information.
Can I change what information my child can share?
For users age 12 or under, we only collect the minimum information needed to register for the account and seek parental permission. Users age 12 and under cannot access photo or video sharing functionality without verified parental consent. Parents have the ability to change the functionality shared.
